cover your ears and open your eyes and you will hear
Music is an integral part of my life. When I am not writing custom essays and other requirements for school, I listen to music and I even sometime fantasize about writing my own songs and starting a band. When I was just a young kid, my mother and father used to put on old their old records and dance to the tune of old love songs. My parents holding hands, dancing and laughing with love and warmth as my brothers and I cheered and hooted around them was the fondest memory of my childhood.
And so it bothers me now that many artists abuse their poetic license and talents to write songs that have no moral values and loaded with explicit language and sexually suggestive themes. They sings songs about drugs, violence, immoral sexual acts and they even glorify it to the point that people think that abusive language and notorious actions are perfectly cool and acceptable in our society. It doesn't really bother me because I don't listen to trashn like that but what gets my goat is seeing the children listening to this type of music. One way or another, the filthy language and lyrics can get to them and they might be influenced by these type of songs.
Call me corny. Call me square and old-fashioned. But music brings back great memories of my childhood as I remember the soothing sounds as my mother and father danced. What kind of memories will filthy music and dirty language ingrain in the minds of our children? I hope censorship would tighten its grip around record bars and downloading companies so that bad music will not be readily available and accessible for children. I hope this comes soon before every kid on the street is cussing and shouting obscenities along with crude lyrics from irresponsible artists. It's just not right, not at all.
